Data Center UPS Systems and Uninterruptible Power Supply
We provide uninterrupted power to your critical infrastructure with online, modular, and redundant UPS solutions, offering maximum uptime guarantee with N+1 and 2N redundancy architectures.
Uninterruptible Power Supply Infrastructure
Data centers are critical facilities that directly affect operational continuity. Voltage fluctuations, harmonic distortions, or complete outages from the grid can cause permanent damage to server hardware and lead to data loss. Therefore, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems are an indispensable component of data center energy infrastructure.
UPS systems are classified into three basic topologies according to the IEC 62040 international standard. The online double-conversion topology, known as VFI (Voltage and Frequency Independent), continuously converts the input power between AC-DC and DC-AC, thus providing complete isolation with zero transfer time at the output. The VI (Voltage Independent) topology offers voltage regulation through line interaction, while the VFD (Voltage and Frequency Dependent) topology only provides basic backup functionality. For data center applications, the online double-conversion VFI topology is considered the industry standard for protecting critical loads.

Our UPS Solution Scope
At ALZ Technology, we offer comprehensive UPS solutions that meet the end-to-end power requirements of your data center. From small server rooms to large-scale hyperscale data centers, we determine the appropriate topology, capacity, and redundancy level for every project.
Online double-conversion UPS systems (10 kVA - 6 MVA): Industry standard uninterruptible power supply solutions for critical loads, providing zero transfer time with VFI topology.
Modular UPS solutions (scalable capacity): Flexible UPS architectures that optimize investment costs by allowing capacity increases as needed with hot-swappable power modules.
Static transfer switches (STS): Switching systems that guarantee uninterrupted power supply to critical loads by automatically switching between two independent UPS sources within milliseconds.
Battery management systems (VRLA, Li-Ion): VRLA offers advanced battery management solutions for lead-acid and lithium-ion battery technologies, providing temperature monitoring, charge optimization, and life forecasting.
UPS parallel redundancy (N+1, 2N architecture): Design and implementation of parallel redundant power architectures that guarantee uninterrupted operation even in the event of a single UPS failure.
Bypass and maintenance switch systems: Mechanical and electronic bypass solutions and safe maintenance switches to prevent the load from losing power during UPS maintenance processes.
Energy efficiency and PUE optimization: Solutions that reduce energy consumption and improve PUE value through eco-mode operation, high-efficiency modes, and transformerless UPS technologies.
UPS remote monitoring and SNMP integration: Real-time monitoring, alarm management, and integration services with DCIM systems via SNMP, Modbus, and BACnet protocols.
Redundancy and Reliability
In data center uninterruptible power infrastructure, redundancy architecture is a key determinant of system reliability. In an N+1 architecture, an additional UPS module is operated in addition to the required capacity; thus, the load is powered continuously in case of any module failure. In a 2N architecture, the entire power chain is duplicated to create two independent power supply lines.
According to the Uptime Institute classification, Tier III data centers require concurrent maintainability, while Tier IV facilities offer full fault tolerance. At ALZ Technology, we design the redundancy architecture that suits your project's target Tier level and manage the implementation and commissioning processes completely.
